交差する時間と覚醒――あさひなみらいと歩んだ軌跡
1. The First Encounter and Silence
Four years ago, I first met Mirai Asahina (@asahina_3desu) during my very first custom photo session. Despite the physical distance between Tokyo and Osaka, we captured fleeting moments whenever she traveled north or when I headed west for work. Over those two years, while attending numerous workshops to absorb technique, I listened intently through the viewfinder to her dreams as an artist. Then came her transition into hiatus, signaling the start of a two-year silence.

4年前、私が人生で初めてのリクエスト撮影で出逢った「あさひなみらい」（@asahina_3desu）。 東京と大阪という物理的な距離を抱えながらも、彼女が上京する瞬間や自らが仕事で関西へ向かうわずかな時間を縫ってシャッターを重ねた。当時私はいくつものワークショップに通い、知識と技術を吸収しながら、ファインダー越しに彼女が語る「表現者としての夢」に耳を傾け続けた。そして大阪での撮影を最後に彼女は活動を休止し、沈黙の2年間が始まった。
2. Confrontation and the Deepening of Vision
At the very moment she entered a period of hiatus, I too found myself at a major turning point in my development as an artist. It was then that I encountered another artist who refused to compromise in their own expression. “Yuichi, what do you want to photograph?” Simple as the question was, it remained with me. It forced me to confront my own raw impulses and desires without disguising or avoiding them, and to find a way to give them form through my work. The time I spent struggling in uncertainty and continuing to sharpen my instincts became a period that profoundly reshaped my approach to expression. During this period, one of the people who supported the visual dimension of my work was Hair & Makeup Artist Ai Nakamura (@ai.1721). The texture of skin emerging in light, and the presence of hair that remains even within deep shadows—her attention to these details became an important element in realizing the tension I seek in photography.

2.ある表現者との対峙、そして深まる視点
彼女が休止へと入ったまさにその頃、私自身もまた、表現者として大きな転換点に立っていた。そこで出会ったのが、自らの表現に対して一切の妥協を許さない、ある表現者だった。 「ゆうさんは、何を撮りたいの」 何気ないようでいて、その問いは何度も私の中に残った。己の泥臭い衝動や欲望をごまかさず、逃げずに作品として形にすること。暗闇の中で試行錯誤を重ね、牙を研ぎ続けたこの時間が、私の表現を大きく変えていった。 知識や理論の裏にあった覚悟の甘さを徹底的に突きつけられ、自分自身の深層と向き合う日々。そしてこの期間、私の表現を視覚的な側面から支えてくれた存在の一人が、ヘアメイクの中村亜衣氏（@ai.1721）だった。光の中で立ち上がる皮膚の質感や、影の中でも失われない髪の存在感。その細部への手仕事は、私が求める写真の緊張感を形にする上で重要な要素となった。
3. Reencounter and the Crossing of Time
Then in 2026, the words "Return to Activity" suddenly appeared on my timeline. Two years of unstated silence on her end, and two years of fierce artistic evolution on mine. When we met again, we confirmed the unspoken paths we had each walked with few words needed. Placing the memory of two years ago projected in the background, and placing a single frame upon her shoulder as a boundary, I pressed the shutter. The past casts its shadow on her present body; an unreachable distance, yet a tangible reality.

3.再会、そして重なる時間
そして2026年、タイムラインに躍り出た「活動復活」の文字。彼女が休止していた2年間と、自らが表現者として牙を研ぎ続けた2年間。ふたつの時間が今、ひとつに重なり合う。語られなかった空白の時間を、多くを語らずとも確かめ合い、私は再びカメラを構えた。背後に投影された2年前の記憶と、彼女の肩に掛けられた「額縁」という境界の扉。過去の影を纏う現在の身体、そして触れられない距離の深さ。
4. Towards "Cross Exhibition 6": Where Elements Intersect
What I present for the upcoming "Cross Exhibition 6" is not merely a photograph commemorating a reunion. It is a work brought into existence because each of us gathered again in the same space after passing through our own distinct journeys of time. The craft of Ai Nakamura, the presence and time brought to the space by Mirai Asahina, and the vision I have deepened over these past two years—this work emerges precisely at the intersection of these distinct elements. I look forward to presenting this creation at the exhibition.

4. 「クロス展6」要素が交差する場所へ
今回の「クロス展6」に向けて出展する作品は、単なる再会の記念写真ではない。それぞれが異なる時間を経て再び同じ場所に集まったことで生まれた一枚である。 中村亜衣氏の手仕事、あさひなみらい氏がその場に持ち込んだ身体と時間、そして私自身がこの2年間で掘り下げてきた視点。それぞれの要素が交差した場所に、この作品は立ち現れた。会場で皆さんにこの作品をお見せできる日を心より楽しみにしている。
