The Context of the Collection (June – September 2025)
In June 2025, during the exhibition White Night 2025 held at Gallery Shop M84 in Ginza, Tokyo, I decided to acquire The apple #02, a work by photographer and artist Misuzu Shibuya.
Following a period dedicated to sourcing and crafting a custom frame, the piece was formally delivered into my hands on September 28 of the same year.
When I listened to the artist explain the creative background in her own words and encountered the persuasive weight of the artwork itself, I felt a strong, intuitive connection—that the physical time and materiality condensed within this "apple" represented my own "current location" as an artist. This acquisition is not merely a gesture of ownership or a personal memory; it serves as a crucial catalyst for me to continuously face my own origins as a creator.

コレクション取得の背景（2025.06 - 09）
2025年6月、銀座ギャラリーショップM84で開催された『White Night 2025』にて、写真家・アーティストの渋谷美鈴氏による作品『The apple #02』のお迎えを決定した。
作品に施される特注額装の取り寄せ・制作期間を経て、手元に納品されたのは同年9月28日である。
作家本人の口から直接語られた制作背景、そして作品そのものが持つ強い説得力に触れた際、この「りんご」に凝縮された時間と物質性が、まさに自分自身の「現在地」そのものであると強く直感した。単なる所有や親交の記録ではなく、表現者として自らの原点と向き合い続けるための重要な触媒としてのコレクションである。

Starting August 23, 2026, the two-person exhibition Unraveling Vision featuring Mieko Demura and Misuzu Shibuya will be presented at Gallery "Nikai" in Kyoto.
As featured symbolically on the exhibition flyer, Shibuya has been deepening her practice in recent years by incorporating mixed media into photographic expression.
From the Curatorial Statement of Unraveling Vision:"Things that exist right before our eyes, yet remain unseen; things that are the exact opposite of what appears visible. Shibuya’s photographic works draw narratives as mirrors that reflect the self through others, bringing to the surface questions and conflicts regarding everyday phenomena that we take for granted."
Shibuya’s quiet materiality—which questions the uncertainty of perception and the subtle shifts in vision between oneself and others—resonates deeply with my own artistic investigation of "record, intervention, and returning digital reality back into physical matter" through 4x5 film and FRP.
This exhibition marks a physical intersection where passion and artistic dialogue meet. I record this text as an enduring archive of that shared energy.
2026年8月23日より、京都・ギャラリー「にかい」にて、出村実英子氏と渋谷美鈴氏による二人展『眼差しをほどく - Unraveling Vision -』が開催される。
フライヤーにも象徴的に掲げられている通り、渋谷氏は近年の展開として写真にミクストメディアを取り入れた表現を深めている。
『眼差しをほどく - Unraveling Vision -』展覧会趣旨（抜粋）「目の前にあるのに見えないもの、見えているものとは正反対のもの。渋谷の写真作品は、他者を通しながらも自己を表現する鏡として物語を描き、世の中で当たり前のように見えている物事についての疑問や葛藤を浮き彫りにします」
「見えているものの不確かさ」や「他者との間にある視点」を問いかける渋谷氏の静かなマテリアリティ（物質性）と、私自身が4×5フィルムやFRPを用いて追求する「記録と介入、物理的現実への還流」という関心は、深く共鳴している。
人が人に惹かれ、互いの作品と情熱を介して切磋琢磨する現場。その熱量の交差点を記録すべく、ここにアーカイブとして書き残しておく。
