「私はコピーが上手いと思っていました。端的に綺麗に撮れるのは当たり前。でも、一番大事なことが抜けていたんです。この一枚に込めたストーリー、誰とのシーンを作っているかということ。大森先生の放つ一言には、写真の説得力と表現の意味を変える力があります。私が1年間プロモグラフで大森先生とやってきた中で得た最大の財産を、ぜひ皆さんにも体感してほしい。そんな熱い想いからこの講座を企画しました。 当日は、私も皆様のサポートとして全力で現場に立ち、共にその『光の先』を体感させて頂きます。」

■ イントロダクション（講座の魅力・コンセプト）

ライティングが組める。綺麗に作れる。それは、表現のスタートラインでしかない。   

「なぜ、この光なのか？」その一言が持つ圧倒的な説得力と、写真から物語を想像させる技法を学ぶ。

ポートレートを撮るうえで、機材を使いこなし、世界観を整え、綺麗に撮ることは「当たり前」の時代になりました。 しかし、あなたの写真には、観た人を引き込む本当の「説得力」があるでしょうか？   

夜の街道、通り過ぎる車のヘッドライト、ぽつんと灯る電柱の光……。 優れた写真家が組む光には、すべてに意味があり、観た人に「そこがどんなシチュエーションなのか、誰とのシーンなのか」を瞬時に想像させる物語が内包されています。   

本講座は、「綺麗に撮れるようになった、じゃあ次は何を表現するのか」―― その答えの作り方を、日本のポートレートシーンを牽引する大森和幸氏から直接学びます。 綺麗に撮れるのは当たり前。 その先にある「何を作るか」を掴み取るための1日です。   

■ 本講座で学べること   

  • 1. 「なぜこの光なのか」を言語化する力 なんとなく綺麗、雰囲気がある、ではなく、 1灯1灯の配置や光の強弱にストーリーとしての説得力を持たせる思考法を学びます。   

  • 2. シチュエーションを想像させるライティングの構築 光と影をコントロールすることで、写真の背景にあるドラマ（時間帯、天候、場所、登場人物の感情）を観る人に伝える技術を習得します。    

  • 3. 表現としての「つながり」の理解 モデル、衣装、ロケーション、 avenues、そして配置する光。すべてが孤立せず、1つの物語として繋がる、本当の意味での世界観の作り方を紐解きます。

Beyond "Beautiful" — Storytelling Lighting: Crafting Narratives Within a Single Image

■ Message from the Organizer

"I once believed I excelled at copying. Creating clean, beautiful images is merely a given. However, I realized I was missing the most vital element: the narrative embedded within a single frame, and the deliberate creation of a scene shared with another. A single insight from Omori-sensei possesses the power to redefine the persuasiveness of a photograph and the very meaning of expression. Having spent a year working alongside him in Promograph, I developed this workshop out of a profound desire to share the greatest asset I gained with all of you. On the day of the event, I will be on-site to fully support you as we experience what lies beyond the light together."

Being able to set up lighting and create a beautiful image is merely the starting line of expression.   

Learn the art of evoking narratives through photography, driven by the profound persuasiveness of a single question: "Why this light?"   

In portrait photography, mastering equipment, organizing a worldview, and taking beautiful images has become commonplace. However, does your photography possess the genuine "persuasiveness" required to draw viewers in?  

A night-shrouded street, the headlights of a passing vehicle, the solitary glow of a lamppost... The light crafted by an exceptional photographer carries deliberate meaning, instantly evoking a narrative that allows the viewer to envision the exact situation and the relationship shared within the scene.  

This workshop addresses the crucial question: "Now that you can shoot beautifully, what will you express next?" You will learn the architecture of this answer directly from Kazuyuki Omori, a leading figure in the Japanese portrait scene. Taking beautiful photos is a given. This day is designed to help you grasp what lies beyond: the act of true creation.  

■ What You Will Learn   

  • 1. The Ability to Verbalize "Why This Light" Learn the philosophy of imbuing each light placement and intensity with narrative persuasiveness, moving beyond vague concepts of "beautiful" or "atmospheric".  

  • 2. Constructing Lighting That Evokes Situations Master the technique of controlling light and shadow to communicate the underlying drama of a photograph—the time of day, weather, location, and the emotions of the subjects—to the viewer.  

  • 3. Understanding "Connection" as Expression Deconstruct how the model, wardrobe, location, and placed light interconnect as a single cohesive narrative, rather than remaining isolated elements, to build a genuine worldview.
